During lock down movements were restricted to individuals' domestic spaces, working with the artist's sister, brother and mother these sculptures became a way to explore these limitations and ‘what the next move is going to be’.
The repetitive nature of making and assembling became increasingly evident when the images were collated. By placing them in a grid, subtle correspondences between images taken days apart and made by different family members become uncovered.
This work was featured in group shows Sketching a Succession as part of Brighton PhotoFringe October 2021, and To Skim a Stone at Serchia Gallery, Bristol 2021.
