Working with The Royal Academy Communities programme I facilitated creative workshops using a range of visual arts materials and processes for learning disabled adults. Here I designed a series of workshops around the group's needs and interests, alongside the Summer Show Exhibition.
The first set of workshops took inspiration from the Architecture Room, looking at Jonah Luswata's Moonlight Towers as inspiration to think about shelter, den making and the creation of wooden shapes to hold shadows and light shapes.
Returning to the Architecture Room the second set of workshops looked at Shin Egashira's Thames Whale Study as inspiration for the creation of a raft or vessel, the group imagining journeys they would take with the raft.
